Easter Sunday is the first Sunday after the first full moon on or after the spring equinox, as set by church tables, so it always falls between March 22 and April 25. Good Friday and Easter Monday are public holidays in the United Kingdom, Australia, Canada (Good Friday) and much of Europe. The dates on this page are for Western Easter; Orthodox Easter is often one or more weeks later.

The UK and the rest of Europe move their clocks forward the same night, at 1 a.m. GMT on March 28, so Easter morning starts an hour short. The US changed two weeks earlier, on March 14.
