How business days are counted
Every day from the start date to the end date is checked: Saturdays and Sundays (or the weekend you choose) are skipped, and so are the public holidays of the country you pick. When a holiday falls on a weekend, the day off moves to the official weekday instead, such as the Friday before July 4 in the United States or the Monday after Christmas in the United Kingdom.

Frequently asked questions
What is a business day?
A business day (or working day) is a day when offices and banks are normally open: Monday to Friday, except public holidays. In some countries the weekend is Friday and Saturday instead, which you can choose above.
Are the start and end dates counted?
In "Between two dates", both dates are counted when they are business days, like the NETWORKDAYS function in Excel and Google Sheets. Untick either box to leave it out. In "Add or subtract", the start date is not counted: one business day after a Monday is Tuesday, like the WORKDAY function.
Which holidays are included?
US federal holidays, with the official observed day when a holiday falls on a weekend, and England and Wales bank holidays, including substitute days. State, regional and one-off holidays, such as a royal funeral, are not included, and individual banks or employers may close on other days.
How long is 10 business days?
Ten business days are two full working weeks, so usually 14 calendar days. It is longer when a holiday falls in between: each holiday adds one day. Choose "Add or subtract" above to get the exact date.
Does the calculator use my time zone?
"Today" is the date on your device. The calculation itself only uses calendar dates, so it gives the same answer everywhere.
